Types of Transcriptions
We're glad for help with either type of transcription.

1. Word for Word - every word is accurately transcribed. The video time code is periodically entered.

What's your Experience doing a Transcription?

Hi Edwin, I finished the transcript. I hope its OK?  I quite enjoy it!  Marcelle Kors

I enjoy doing this when I have enough time, so I will definitely do another soon. Like you say, It's a great way to really integrate the information, I'm dyslexic, so these videos are great for me to learn what normally can be laid out in such a dry, academic way.

It's very interesting experiencing how many of the academics researching in this area are so warm and humane, its a far easier way to learn then because you respond to the facts through the person who has truly lived them, this of course is such a large part of what the whole empathy culture thing is about. By spending more time and care with the transcription one is, in effect able to get more into the minds of others, it's how I often developed characters as an actor, It's a lovely thing to do.

I certainly feel very strengthened in my own empathic growing journey since 'meeting' so many beautiful pioneering people through these wonderful videos of yours, and just hearing a constant outpouring of optimism and positive facts and ideas, it has a very powerful effect on the mind.

I believe art contains an encoded form of the experience of the artist. Maynard Soloman said 'All art is a constantly renewable form of energy'. And because for me my own art processes are primarily developing my own empathy, my reconnecting with myself and the world, I wonder if and how that 'renewable' experience is helpful to others in the same way, perhaps without them even knowing? Magic? Mimesis? It's all about passing it on, igniting those around you. Exciting! Good to part of the team, Warm regards to you, Alexis Strauss

      • create a template questionnaire for judges

      • create an evaluation criteria for empathy

    • 12:40 It's a revolutionary idea

      • if this criteria were explored and applied, it would have huge ramification

      • it would change the legal process

      • it would change the way we educate lawyers

      • legal training in law today in not a training in empathy.

      • now, empathy is rather a handicap in legal education today

      • if empathy we're a criteria in selecting legal judges, that would change.

        • and that would be a wonderful thing

13:30  Sounds like empathy really spoke to you and your values?
